The availability of broadband services is an important decision factor for businesses choosing to locate or expand in the St. Joseph area. High-speed telecommunications, internet services, and video are essential to business productivity and operations.
 
Position: The Chamber supports minimal regulations of voice, video, high speed Internet and data services that enhance technology infrastructure and improve consumer access. Further, the ability for municipalities to generate fees from the franchising of technology providers and the ability to control their rights-of-way should be protected.
